Targettanks (DS / WIndows / mobile)
TargetTanks is my first game that uses touch input, and is my second game made with DS GameMaker. The goal is to click / tap all the enemies that try to attack your base. You win when every enemy in the wave is killed.
BEHIND THE CODE
The engine for this game (Burst) allows the game to use touch input, That means that the game could be played on the most devices. The core entity create a timeline, to spawn the enemies after a couple of second. For every time the player kills a enemy, the player gets 100 points. But is the enemy reaches the base, the player loses 1 life. If the player runs out of life, he is defeated. But if the player clears the field, he wins.
The goal of making this game was to make a game that is compatible of using touch, and I managed it to succeed.Most parts of this game are touch optimized, and run smoothly on old and low-specs machines. The game is focused to let the player make fast decisions. Should i first this enemy, or that one?. At last, the prototype is a concept for mobiles.
