The snor game (DS / WINDOWS)
This was my first Nintendo DS game I made. Its developed with DS GameMaker, and it took me 2 days to build. The goal of this game is to collect so much snor smileys as you can. My goal for developing the game was to make the player enjoy the game, even if it is very simple.
THE IDEA BEHIND THE CODE
The core system object created the smileys and destroyed them when they hit the ground or the player. When they hit the player, you get +100 score, otherwise nothing. They respawn after collision. The player (the vase) can move with the arrow keys (left & right). After a the time stops, you see the score and can choose to play it again. The game is build from the Burst engine.
This game could be made for every game platform, because it uses only 3 buttons. The game is for every age, and easy to play. The game could be played on mobile phones, consoles and computers. The game looks mostly 8 bit. The system would check if the smiley collision with the ground, and respawns the smiley. [NOTE: I dont own any of these sprites. The copyrights belong to there respective owners]
DEMO & SOURCE CODE
The demo of my prototype and the source code made in GameMaker 8 (to test if the concept was worthy developing) is available online.
